From Thursday morning until Sunday morning , hot breakfast sandwiches are available. Hot fillings include back bacon, Lincolnshire sausage, roast tomatos, mushrooms and cooked onion. There is also scrambled egg available. These are served hot from 8am until 11am. We serve them on fresh ciabatta bread, however you can choose from the range of sandwich rolls we have in the deli. If you haven’t already tried one, why not give it a go?
Friday comes around quick. Today we have fresh jam donuts – however you have to be quick as they go fast.
We also have extra croissant, pain au chocolat, almond croissant and pain au raisin on offer. They are baked in our ovens first thing in the morning to be as fresh as possible. We have a large selection of Cholla egg loaves, we also provide sour dough rye and lots of Italian loaves, – all fresh today.
Any bread that is left at the end of each day is collected by a local charity for the homeless.
We have an order book for bread, so you can call through and reserve your loaf for collection when it suits. 100% rye, cholla and sour dough need 2 days notice. However most customers have a standing order and cancel if they don’t need it one week.
The sun is shinning, so we are going to be busy – hope you have a good day and maybe see you later.

The Deli Sandwich Bar is open from 8am till 4pm, or until the bread runs out. All the bread is delivered daily, fresh from our local Italian baker. The meats and cheeses are sliced each day, the salads are made fresh each day in the back of the Fruit Basket next door to the Deli. All the chicken and beef is roasted in our oven to be the best tasting possible. Our standard sandwich menu is listed on this site (Menu), however we can create what ever sandwich you desire from the fillings in the counter. We also make mixed salad boxes with different fillings, according to what you want on the day. If you don’t have time to wait, you can call before 11am, or the day before and your order will be waiting for you to collect.
Welcome to the updated version of the No.8 Delicatessen Web Site. I going to be updating the site regularly to inform our customers of changes to the deli, including new produce available as well as up and coming events. We are now in the middle of the summer holidays and despite the weather are seeing lots of familiar faces using the extra tables on the pavement at the front of the Deli and the Yard at the rear.

I look forward to hearing your comments and ideas and will be posting again soon.
