Cheese is definitely a passion at No. 8. We stock a large range of cheeses from home and abroad. Tasters are always available -just ask to try!  Please ask for advice on cheese boards or cheese wedding cakes.  If you are looking for a specific cheese which we don't currently stock, please ask us and we will do our best to source it for you.

British Cheese

• Mrs Kirkham's Lancashire (Unpasteurised, Cow's Milk. Slightly crumbly texture but still moist. Mild & creamy flavour)
• Wensleydale from Hawes (Unpastuerised, Cow's Milk. Supple, crumbly, moist texture. Flavour suggests wild honey balanced with a fresh acidity)
• Thomas Hoe Stevenson Red Leicester (Pastuerised, Cow's Milk. Slightly sweet, nutty, caramelised flavour. Flavourful yet mellow)
• Montgomery Cheddar (Unpasteurised, Cow's Milk. Complex, long-lasting flavours. Strong with a little sweetness. Blue veining in the cheese is normal!)
• Cornish Yarg (Pastuerised, Cow's Milk, Vegetarian Rennet. Wrapped in nettle leaves, edible rind. Young, fresh, slightly tangy taste)
• Ribblesdale Superior Goat
• Mrs Appleby's Cheshire (Unpastuerised, Cow's Milk. Crumbly texture. Delicate flavour which lasts in the mouth)
• Lincolnshire Poacher (Unpasteurised, Cow's Milk. Distinctive fruity, nutty flavour with a clean sweet finish. The taste varies with the seasons)
• Cropwell Bishop Blue Stilton (Pateurised, Local Cow's Milk, Vegetarian Rennet. Crumbly texture. Creamy with a rich, subtle spicy flavour)
